Lean Yellow Belt explores the concepts of lean, basic tools and techniques, and the integration of lean culture, rapid process improvement, lean metrics and ideas for sustaining lean within any organization. Lean Yellow Belt consists of a variety of methods used by the lean team to improve a process. These methods include 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen to name a few. The Lean Yellow Belt is 3 days in duration due to the number of methodologies that are discussed. The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt is a 1-day course that speaks to Waste, Lean and Six Sigma definitions. The Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology is taught and utilized to teach problem solving. Neither of these courses require a math background, although basis algebra is used in some of the sessions.
