What to Expect

  • Exam Prep Course: This course is designed to help you prepare for a certification exam. You can expect coverage of all exam learning objectives, with a focus on understanding key concepts, terminology, and how they’re assessed.
  • Content Volume: Certification courses cover a large amount of material in a short time. Instructors prioritize content tied to exam objectives and supplementary topics may be addressed as time allows.
  • Content Pace: Certification courses are fast-paced so that all exam objectives are covered. Instructors adhere to a stricter schedule so that everything is covered. While discussions and examples are included, the focus remains on certification readiness.
  • Outside of Class Study Time: Plan for self-study outside of class, especially if the content is new to you. Passing the exam is not guaranteed.

Necessary Preparation

  • Official Prerequisites: There are no official prerequisites from APMG.  
  • Pre-Course Knowledge: We encourage you to familiarize yourself with the Agile Programme Management (AgilePgM) Handbook aligned to the syllabus before the training starts. The Agile Programme Management (AgilePgM) Handbook will be emailed to you as an eBook version, along with access to the syllabus, ahead of the start date. During the course, two hours of evening study each night is required.

Exam Information

    • Certification Alignment: This course is aligned to the AgilePgM Foundation certification.
    • Certification Expectations: Attendees should expect that some study outside of course hours will be required for certification success. The amount of self-study will depend on prior familiarity with the topic. Passing the exam is not guaranteed.
    • Exam Details: The Agile Programme Management (PgM) exam will be invigilated during class hours by the course instructor. The foundation exam will take place on Day 3. Exam Format: Multiple choice format, 50 questions (each worth 1 mark), 25 marks to pass (50% pass), 40 minutes duration, Closed Book.
